The Leibniz Graduate School "Infections", established within the framework of the Leibniz Center Infection, offers fellows an interdisciplinary teaching and training program in infectiology and gives young scientists the opportunity to deal with highly topical and important problems of infection research. The graduate training, which started in May 2009, was initially funded for three years by the Pact for Research and Innovation of the Leibniz Association and consolidated in summer 2012 by all three partner institutes of the LCI.

The call for three PhD scholarships starting in summer 2023 is open until June 30. You can get more information about the call here.

The research projects of the LCI fellows are based on close cooperation projects between two LCI institutes. The curriculum of the graduate school is developed jointly by the three LCI institutes and offers intensive insights into questions and methods of parasitology, bacteriology and virology in training days and one- to two-day specialist courses.
